Midgard Design Services (MDS) is our specialist design department based within our main contracting arm, Midgard, a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group head quartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £850m, the business is currently experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen our commercial teams.
As part of a well-established team the successful applicant will have a fantastic opportunity to develop their architectural skills and gain experience working on some of Londons larger, more iconic schemes which will enhance their career prospects.
Key Responsibilities: Design & Technical Support
* Assist in the preparation of concept, planning, and technical drawings
* Develop design proposals using CAD and BIM software
* Produce 2D drawings, 3D models, and visualisations
* Support the preparation of planning and building regulation submissions
Project Support
* Assist architects with project coordination and documentation
* Help prepare presentation materials and reports
* Attend internal meetings and, where appropriate, client or consultant meetings
* Support site visits and assist with site reports
Skills & Experience (Essential)
* Degree in Architecture (RIBA Part I or Part II, or equivalent)
* Strong design and visual communication skills
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
* Good understanding of UK planning process and building regulations
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
