Overview
Seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join a leading aerospace manufacturing and MRO business. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-precision aircraft components in a regulated and quality-driven setting. You will play a key role in the manufacture and overhaul of precision bushes, sleeves, and related components, ensuring all work meets strict aerospace standards and company procedures.
Role and compensation
Role: CNC Turner
Salary: £33,860 - £38,000 including shift allowance
Location: West London
Hours: 37.5 hours/week. Week one - 6am-2pm, Week two - 2pm-10pm
Candidates must already hold the right to live and work in the UK without restrictions. No sponsorships can be provided, now or in the future.
Main responsibilities
* Manufacture aircraft bushes and components to tight tolerances in line with company procedures (OHM, CMM, SOPM)
* Operate 2- and 3-axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
* Program CNC machines (Fanuc) where required
* Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings
* Use imperial measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Carry out rework and overhaul activities within an MRO environment
* Proven experience operating CNC lathes (2- and 3-axis) with Fanuc controls
* CNC programming experience
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* Aerospace experience is advantageous but not essential
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills
* Able to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment
* Flexibility required for overtime and occasional weekend work
