Location: Thurso - full time on site. 37 hours per week

Overview:
An opportunity has arisen within the Design Office for an EC&I Draughtsperson to provide high-quality draughting support to engineering teams. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in EC&I design, with potential progression into design engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare design drawings in line with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Support the production of design documentation and technical specifications.
Assist in developing practical design solutions and addressing technical challenges.
Work alongside senior draughtspersons to resolve queries efficiently.
Fulfil any management responsibilities associated with the post.
Essential:
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and standards.
Proficiency with current AutoDesk products, including AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.
Previous technical experience in an engineering environment, ideally with exposure to project work.
Sound knowledge of safety protocols within a design setting.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
HNC in Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant draughting/design experience.
Desirable:
Background in electrical or control & instrumentation trades.
Membership of a relevant professional institution.
