Primary Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chef to join our Kitchen Team. The successful applicant will assist in the preparation and production of recipes and meals, supporting the needs of the guests and clients in order to provide safety and the best guest experience. This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting out in their career as a Chef to learn your trade within a highly motivated environment
Roles and Responsibilities:
* To deliver first class service to the staff and guests
* To make sure that the correct quantities are made with the correct items
* Be able to learn and assist in the control of all food items in storage and rotation
* To be consistent in your approach and provide quality
* To use all raw materials and ingredients effectively, to reduce waste
* Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your section
* Assisting other Chefs
* Ensuring you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
* Carry out designated duties to the best of your ability;
* Be honest and diligent in your work, showing dependability and enthusiasm for the team;
* Complete any other tasks reasonably requested by the senior chefs
* Maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene including wearing and maintaining a clean uniform at all times.
* Be aware of and follow all Health and Safety procedures.
Keys Skills
* Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety rules in the kitchen (desirable);
* Willingness to learn and progress within craft (essential);
* Flexible and co-operative.
* Good understanding of COSHH regulations (desirable) ;
* Food hygiene skills;
* Smart appearance.
