This is an outstanding opportunity for an Audit Partner to join a well-established accountancy and advisory firm in St Albans. You’ll play a key role in leading the audit function, managing senior client relationships and contributing to the firm’s strategic growth.
The Role
As Audit Partner, you’ll take overall responsibility for the delivery, quality and development of the audit offering.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading a portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger groups
* Acting as a trusted adviser to key clients, providing commercial insight and strategic support
* Overseeing audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards
* Providing leadership and direction to audit teams, including managers and senior staff
* Playing an active role in business development, client retention and winning new work
* Supporting firm-wide strategy, governance and leadership initiatives
* Ensuring high standards of audit quality, risk management and technical excellence
* Mentoring and developing future leaders within the audit team

About You

You will:
* Be ACA or ACCA qualified with significant audit experience in practice
* Currently operate at Partner, Director or Senior Audit Manager level
* Have a strong technical understanding of UK auditing standards and FRS 102
* Be confident managing senior client relationships and complex engagements
* Demonstrate strong leadership, mentoring and people development skills
* Be commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development
* Have the credibility and ambition to contribute at partnership level
