Our busy Environmental Health team is committed to improving the quality of life of our residents. We are seeking an excellent communicator and problem solver to join a team at the forefront of the latest initiatives in the environmental field. The post is based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, with hybrid working arrangements at Bishops' College.
Post: Technical Officer (REF: TO) | Salary: Starting salary £38,518.48 per annum | Contract: Permanent | Hours: 37 hours per week | Working pattern: Term Time
Responsibilities
* Environmental protection – pollution control, planning consultations, statutory nuisance and general public health complaints
* Food and Health and Safety in commercial premises, health promotion, infectious diseases and licensing activities
* Housing and Residential – providing private sector housing advice and investigations
Qualifications
* NEBOSH general certificate (required)
* Experience in some or all of the environmental health activities listed above
* Full valid driving licence and willing to work on a rota basis to cover the out of hours noise service
* Ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English
