Experiences
* Source and develop compelling experiences and properties that resonate with the Steppes’ client base and the high-end travel market
* Ensure experiences embody the company’s brand values and meet marketing briefs
* Meet sustainability criteria and deliver on the three Ps – profit, people, and planet
* Help fulfill our commercial goals
Dynamic content generation which will include:
* Creating web pages (using WordPress) to showcase holiday ideas, group tours, experiences, and hotel partners
* Writing itinerary copy and creating group tours in our CMS
Maintain positive relationships with key suppliers to ensure:
* Exceptional service and delivery (using Post Travel Questionnaire for Quality Control)
* A shared commitment to Positive Impact Travel
* Documented Health and Safety measures
The role involves close collaboration with marketing and sales teams on holiday ideas, experiences, and hotels for our website.
Commercial
* Liaise with suppliers to negotiate favorable payment terms, rates, overrides, and value adds
* Work with the Product & Impact Director to create, cost, and administer charters and group tours
* Coordinate with the Head of Sales to communicate product updates and organize training sessions
Impact
* Align products with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals
* Assist in collating data to determine the carbon footprint of holidays
* Conduct supply chain audits to ensure alignment with Positive Impact commitments
* Manage relationships with NGOs supported through Positive Impact initiatives
* Oversee the in-house Steppes Fund For Female Guides
Skills/Experience required
* Experience in the high-end, tailor-made travel industry
* Understanding of sustainability in travel
* People skills for building relationships with colleagues and suppliers
* Good computer literacy and willingness to learn
* Copywriting skills and attention to detail
* Organizational and administrative skills
* Time management and prioritization abilities
Nice to have
* Knowledge of Africa, including travel experience and working with African suppliers
* Ability to source and format images for key products
Terms/Conditions
* Hours: 09:00 – 17:30 (Mon-Thu), 09:00 – 17:00 (Fri), occasional weekends/evenings
* Paid Holidays: Up to 33 days including bank holidays
* Up to two days/week remote working
* Pension, Private Healthcare, Travel Insurance: after six-month probation
* Full-time (37.5 hours) or Part-time considered
