Deputy Lead – SAP (Contract)
Client
Our client is a leading player in the UK renewable energy sector, currently delivering one of the country’s flagship offshore wind developments. They’re seeking an experienced Deputy Lead – SAP to support a large-scale infrastructure programme focused on driving operational excellence across finance, procurement, and project management systems.
Terms
* Location: UK-based (hybrid – occasional site travel required)
* Duration: Initial 6‑month contract, with strong potential to extend
* Start: ASAP / November 2025
Role
As Deputy Lead – SAP, you’ll work closely with the SAP Lead to ensure effective system governance, optimisation, and integration across multiple business units. You’ll oversee functional and technical streams, lead on solution design, and act as a key liaison between project stakeholders, system integrators, and the wider business.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring SAP supports project delivery across complex engineering and construction phases, with a particular focus on S/4HANA optimisation, data integrity, and business process alignment.
Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience in SAP project delivery, ideally within large infrastructure or energy projects
* Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, with exposure to key modules (FI/CO, MM, PS, PM, or BW)
* Experience supporting system integrations and change control in project environments
* Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders across finance, procurement, and operations
* Excellent problem‑solving and documentation skills
* Certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate (S/4HANA), ITIL Foundation preferred
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently under contract terms
