Role Overview
The Global EHS Manager will be responsible for:
· EHS Leadership: Developing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS programs to ensure compliance with national and European legislation while advancing NextPharma’s safety & sustainability goals.
This role requires strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
1. EHS Leadership
· Program Management & Compliance
1. Establish and maintain Group-wide EHS policies, procedures, and technical standards.
2. Ensure compliance with all relevant national and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, REACH, CLP, and other environmental legislation).
3. Monitor legislative changes and lead implementation across sites.
· Risk & Incident Management
4. Conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
5. Benchmark EHS practices against pharmaceutical industry standards.
6. Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
7. Drive adoption of EHS tools and systems for continuous improvement.
· Training & Communication
8. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all levels of staff.
9. Lead awareness campaigns and facilitate regular networking forums with local EHS managers.
· Environmental & Sustainability
10. Lead environmental management initiatives and sustainability programs.
11. Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to strengthen sustainability performance (e.g., Ecovadis).
· Data & Reporting
12. Maintain accurate EHS records, metrics, and documentation.
13. Provide reporting and insights to support continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience
· Education & Certification
14. Degree in Sciences or Engineering (required).
15. NEBOSH Occupational Safety & Health Certificate (or equivalent preferred).
· Experience (5–10 years minimum):
16. Proven leadership in EHS and Engineering within regulated industries (pharmaceutical, FMCG, chemical, or biotechnology).
17. Strong background in EHS compliance, regulatory audits, and environmental permitting.
18. Demonstrated success in managing capital projects and maintenance programs at site or group level.
19. Experience in process safety, hazardous materials management, and risk assessment.
· Skills:
20. Strong influencing, communication, and presentation skills at all organizational levels.
21. Excellent problem-solving and project management capabilities.
22. Proven ability to manage multiple complex priorities.
23. Proficiency in EHS/engineering systems and MS Office.
24. Organized, methodical, and able to work independently.
25. Flexibility to participate in out-of-hours on-call duties.
