Clinical Nurse PACU Job No: JR104547 St Andrew's Ipswich Private Hospital Permanent Nursing - Registered About the role St Andrew's Ipswich Private Hospital is seeking a talented Clinical Nurse to join our Recovery unit. We have a permanent part-time opportunity available. As a Clinical Nurse, you will have the opportunity to be active in a leadership role, including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing, while working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This role will require you to: Act as a professional resource and demonstrate broad knowledge in all facets of caring for patients Ensure the department is safe, effective and follows best practice Supervising and supporting staff within the unit Participate in Quality improvement Programs in line with organisational and departmental strategic plans About you Your ability to supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes, and your well-developed planning, prioritisation and time management skills are critical for this role. Further to this, you will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to professional practice. You will also demonstrate. Essential: Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia A minimum of 4 years post registration experience, including 3 years’ experience in PACU Nursing Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required. Understanding of scope of practice Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills. Preceptorship experience and a compassionate approach to mentoring student and novice nurses. Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators, and other quality projects.
