Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences School of Health Sciences Senior Research Associate (Fixed term until 31 May 2030) Ref: RA2332 Starting salary from £38,249 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £45,413 per annum. This 4 ½ year post offers a rare opportunity to conduct real-world implementation research with immediate benefits to patients and the public. You will join the School of Health Sciences on the Cancer Research UK funded “eSign study” (see: https://www.uea.ac.uk/about/school-of-health-sciences/research/projects/esign). Our research supports the uptake of weight-management services, using innovative methods and digital implementation strategies. The aim of this study is to scale-up text-message signposting to weight-management support, with a view to preventing cancer and cancer disparities. ​As a Senior Research Associate you will contribute ideas and/ or enhancement of techniques or methodologies. You will analyse and interpret data, write up results and present information on research progress and outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to grant applications and may be involved in the supervision of researchers and teaching of students within the School. ​You will have a PhD in applied health research. You will also have experience of conducting qualitative, quantitative and mixed-method research, have publications in respected journals or equivalent within the field and be able to work in a proactive and results driven manner in a high paced environment. You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data and work effectively as part of a team. ​This full-time post is available from 1 October 2025 on a fixed term basis until 31 May 2030.
