Mental Health & Wellbeing Coach
The post holder is a Mental Health & Wellbeing Coach who works alongside the general practice team and a multi-disciplinary mental health team within NN4 PCN. The role involves supporting the mental health and wellbeing of the practice population by providing wellbeing and coaching support and, where appropriately qualified and professionally registered, delivering therapeutic interventions within their professional scope of practice. The coach also offers assistance and advice to other primary healthcare team members in managing the mental wellbeing of the practice population. In NN4, some coaches hold counselling or psychotherapy qualifications and may use those skills within their regulatory requirements, while those whose background is solely in health and wellbeing coaching work within a non‑clinical coaching remit.
Working Hours
* Monday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
* Wednesday: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
* Thursday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
* Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
There may be some flexibility in daily start and finish times, and for the right candidate there may also be some flexibility regarding the non‑working day. The total weekly hours of 30.5 will remain fixed.
Locations and Start Date
Place of work: Acle Medical Partnership, Brundall Medical Partnership, Blofield Surgery, Hoveton & Wroxham Medical Centre, Staithe Surgery, Ludham & Stalham Green Surgery – all within NN4, a PCN in North Norfolk. The anticipated start date is 17 August or as soon as possible thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and strengthen primary care and promote practices to improve quality by working with and on behalf of primary care in Norfolk.
* Help with challenges identified by practice workload, GP recruitment, and sharing best practice.
* Recognise the changing nature of primary care and assist to ensure the right level of service is provided to address the needs of the local population.
* Provide benefit to patients of primary care, the clinicians and administrators who work in it, and practice organisations in Norfolk.
* Work within health systems to provide patient care in innovative and solution‑focused ways.
