Location: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in London
Contract: 6 months (full-time, part-time considered)
Rate: £41.17ph Umbrella
Overview
We are looking for a skilled Senior Internal Communications & Engagement Officer to deliver impactful internal communications and engagement activity within a large, high-profile public sector organisation. The role will lead on communications planning, content creation, and change engagement to help drive organisational effectiveness and staff connection.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement internal communications and engagement plans for both day-to-day and transformation activity.
Advise senior leaders and stakeholders on effective communication and engagement strategies.
Produce and edit clear, engaging content across intranet, newsletters, leadership messages, and digital channels.
Manage and measure communication channels to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Plan and deliver staff events and briefings to support engagement and organisational change.
Support intranet development and provide training and guidance to content editors.
About You
Proven experience delivering internal and change communications in large or complex organisations.
Excellent writing, editing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Confident advising senior leaders and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of intranet best practice, internal comms measurement, and event delivery.
Experience using tools such as SharePoint, Drupal, and Teams Live.
