Vehicle Technician required, in Preston
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Vehicle Technicians and MOT Tester to join a family-owned, motor group with an outstanding reputation for delivering five-star customer service. Offering excellent training, modern facilities, and genuine career development, this role is ideal for motivated Technicians looking to progress within a Franchised environment.
1. Salary is circa £35,000 basic salary
2. 44,000 OTE (40 hrs per week) + overtime
3. Hours: Monday – Friday, with Saturday mornings on rota.
Key Responsibilities for an MOT Technician:
4. Road Test Vehicles and Diagnose faults as required
5. Carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
6. Perform MOT tests in accordance with current regulations and complete annual accreditation training
7. Ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes, maintaining productivity and quality
8. Accurately complete all documentation and job cards
9. Work closely with the service reception and parts teams to ensure excellent customer experience
10. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment
Requirements for an MOT Technician:
11. Formal qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent)
12. Current MOT Testing Licence
13. Full UK Driving Licence (clean)
14. Strong technical skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
15. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
16. A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service
