This is an exciting time to join the Commercial Team as we align and implement our Procurement and Contract Management Strategy, along with the newly launched Procurement Act 2023, to drive value for money for Warwickshire and our communities.
As the Delivery Lead for contracts within the Communities and Resources Directorates, you will lead a team of contract and quality professionals, supporting contract management and procurement across both Directorates. You will also provide contract-related support to services across the wider Council and collaborate closely with colleagues in the broader Commercial & Contracts team to ensure the effective delivery of contract management.
While a background in contract management is advantageous, technical expertise in this area can be developed as needed. To succeed in this role, you will need substantial experience (2-5 years) working within public sector organisations, along with strong leadership capabilities.

We are looking for a new Contract Management & Delivery Lead.
Are you a dynamic problem solver and motivated self-starter? Do you have experience in contract management, compliance, data analysis, category management, supply chain management, procurement? If so, we would really like to hear from you.
The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.

Responsibilities
* Lead a team of contract and quality professionals to support contract management and procurement across the Communities and Resources Directorates and provide contract-related support to services across the wider Council.
* Collaborate with the wider Commercial & Contracts team to ensure effective delivery of contract management.
* Develop and implement contract management strategies in line with Procurement Act 2023 and Council priorities.
* Support compliance, data analysis and category management activities within the procurement function.
Qualifications & Experience
* Substantial experience (2-5 years) working within public sector organisations.
* Strong leadership capabilities and good communication skills; experience in contract management, compliance, data analysis, category management, supply chain management, or procurement is beneficial.
* Ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public (Fluency Duty).
