Administrator required for our client based in Ballyclare. 27hpw - 8.30am-6pm - 3 full days - Ongoing Temporary MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide administrative support to the primary care team. All staff in the practice will be expected to ensure and maintain confidentiality at all times. KEY DUTIES OF POST: To provide a secretarial service to the practice including answering telephone, typing letters, referrals, reports etc Operates the appointments system to ensure the efficient running of clinics including dealing with patients who need to be seen urgently. Register new patients and ensure that all relevant forms and papers are completed appropriately Deals with requests for repeat and acute prescriptions and ensures that they are ready for collection within the timescale set by the practice. Opening mail and scanning hospital letters and other printed information onto EMIS system Arranges ambulance transport for patients and records details. Receives and makes telephone calls, reception desk duties, recording and passing on messages in line with practice procedures Any other duties within the grade Security Ensure all computer screens and electrical equipment are turned off each evening. Carryout a security check of building each evening when locking up. Special Requirements An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality. An ability to use one's own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense to respond to the needs of the practice. Must have previous Admin experience - preferably in a Health Service environment.
