Job Description
Our client is seeking to appoint a Director of Policy and Public Affairs to raise the profile and public engagement of the organisation with government bodies. You will be responsible for
* developing and implementing our the organisation's public affairs strategy, seeking to influence the development of public policy in the interests of the industries they represent.
* developing and maintaining good relations with stakeholders, in governments across the UK and in the sectors in which our client operates. including Ministers, civil servants, politicians and stakeholders, in Westminster and Whitehall as well as the devolved administrations.
* representing the organisation on external fora and maintaining strong links with partner organisations.
* developing and implementing public affairs campaigns, commission research projects as necessary, and advise the SLT on policy, public affairs and education-related matters.
* managing a team of research & engagement, strategic communications and industry experts.
Through building greater public presence, and positioning the organisation as an industry advisor, our client is seeking to become a trusted advisor, influencer of policy, and a greater contributor to the industries that it represents.
