Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Nurse to join our experienced dental team. We are a private practice offering general dentistry, Invisalign and implants. Experience in implant nursing is advantageous. We are also a training provider for students looking to gain their qualifications in implants. The job role will also involve reception duties. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Responsibilities
* Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
* Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
* Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
* Manage appointment schedules and assist with administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth operation of the practice.
* Communicate effectively with patients and team members, fostering a collaborative atmosphere within the practice.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
* Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently.
* Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
* Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
* Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments.
* Assist with patient care coordination and provide excellent customer service.
* Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming.
* Support the dental team with general administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications as a Dental Nurse, including registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
* A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
* Previous experience in a dental setting is essential.
* Trainees will only be considered if they are already attached to a training scheme and have a minimum of 6 months experience on the job.
Skills
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to provide compassionate patient care and demonstrate empathy.
* Basic IT skills including familiarity with dental software.
* Good understanding of healthcare procedures and confidentiality standards.

Job Details
* Job type: Part-time, Permanent.
* Pay: From £14.00 per hour.
* Expected hours: No less than 15 per week.
