About the Company:
A leading UK-based developer with a strong presence across Surrey and the South East is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. Key Responsibilities:
* Take full commercial responsibility for allocated projects from pre-construction through to final accounts.
* Lead cost planning, budget management, and procurement strategies across multiple developments.
* Prepare and manage subcontractor packages, including tendering, negotiation, and contract placement.
* Monitor cost control, valuations, and variations, ensuring financial accuracy and risk management.
* Liaise regularly with site teams, design managers, and directors to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, including JCT D&B contracts.
* Mentor and support junior QS staff, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
Requirements:
* Minimum 7 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably within a residential developer or main contractor.
* Proven experience managing high-value housing or mixed-use schemes.
* In-depth knowledge of JCT contracts, cost reporting, and value engineering.
* Strong numerical, negotiation, and organisational skills.
* Proficient in COINS, Excel, and cost management software.
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (RICS chartership desirable but not essential).
