Role Summary
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Leyland. This is a long-term opportunity running until the end of the academic year and is ideal for someone seeking to gain or further develop experience within a primary education setting.
The role involves providing general classroom support, with a particular focus on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work as part of a supportive and collaborative team to help ensure all pupils are able to access learning and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
* Working with pupils with additional needs, including SEND
* Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Promoting inclusion and positive learning experiences
* Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Essential Criteria
* Experience working with children or within a school setting
* SEND experience or a strong interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
* A positive, patient, and nurturing approach
* Good organisational skills and clear communication
