Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire

2. Are you looking for a varied caseload in a state-of-the-art animal hospital?
We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts from 8:30am to 7pm, along with 1 in 5 Saturdays from 8:30am to 2pm. There will be a minimum of 1 in 10 on-call shifts to care for inpatients.

6. OOH: 1 in 10 on-call shifts, minimum
7. Computer system: Merlin
8. Team: 15 vets, 14 RVNs, 5 SVNs and 5 ANAs
The role
9. The role involves working in a large tier 3 animal Hospital and performing a mixture of consultations and surgeries
10. The role offers a varied case load both medical and surgical cases
11. The vet will be working alongside an experienced team of 12 vets, 12 RVNs, 7 SVNs and 5 ANAs
12. They vet will be expected to provide excellent health care to all patients and excellent advice to all pet owners
13. The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients
14. Ongoing development and support for certificate study is available

15. They are a busy tier 3 animal hospital
16. They are equipped with diagnostics including CT scanner, ranges of endoscopes, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, orthopaedic kit, ultrasound, full in-house laboratory and k-laser to support our chronic pain services
17. They boast Advanced Practitioners in small animal medicine and ECC
18. They have visiting specialists along with a referral dermatologist
19. They deal with national referrals for exotic pets, radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroid cats and local outpatients for CT scanning, internal medicine, and orthopaedic surgery cases

About you
25. You will be competent in routine surgeries and consultations
26. You will be a team player and be able to establish strong working relationships
27. You will be ambitious and looking to continue in their professional development and study towards a certificate however this is not essential
28. You will have excellent communications skills and client facing skills
29. You will have a positive attitude and show empathy and warmth where required to both clients and team members
Package
30. Salary: Up to £63, per annum, commensurate to experience
