Responsibilities
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will:
1. Analyse product samples using approved methods and procedures within the company's ISO 9001 quality system and Integrated Management System.
2. Identify where analysis is compliant within approved specifications.
3. Test in-coming raw materials to ensure compliance with approved supplier specifications.
4. Record results and maintain laboratory records and databases.
5. Update and maintain daily dispatch records in relation to approved analysis.
6. Carry out calibration of laboratory equipment in line with laboratory procedures.
7. Perform quality checks within the plant operations production area.
8. Report and take appropriate corrective actions on non-conformances and quality incidents.
9. Prepare and dispatch product samples for customer evaluation.
10. Support plant operations and plant trials where necessary
Profile
The ideal candidate should:
11. Have a HNC or equivalent in Chemistry and/ or at least 2 years’ experience in a laboratory environment.
12. Understand classical and instrumental analytical chemistry.
13. Have a high level of safety awareness and understanding of relevant regulations.
14. Have an understanding of Good Laboratory Practice( GLP) and laboratory working regulations such as UKAS.
15. Have excellent problem solving skills.
16. Demonstrate good communication skills
