Job Description Job title: Commercial Account Handler Salary: £45,000 Location: Essex PURPOSE OF ROLE Lawes is assisting a well-regarded insurance brokerage in the search for a Commercial Account Handler. This is a key position focused on servicing an established client book, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the commercial portfolio. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service while identifying opportunities to enhance client value and retention. RESPONSIBILITIES Managing current book of clients Maximising relationships and client contact Handling new business enquiries Managing claims, MTA’s, and general client/insurer admin Maintaining existing and creating new Insurer relationships Trading and negotiating to secure the best terms for clients DAY-TO-DAY Engage with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions Collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure efficient handling of client requirements Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers to secure favorable terms for clients Proactively identify opportunities for business growth and development Stay updated with industry trends and regulations to provide informed advice to clients EXPERIENCE Proven experience in a similar role within the insurance industry Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and services Track record of effectively managing client relationships and driving business growth Experience in negotiating and securing favorable terms with insurers SKILLS Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office suite Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organisational skills If you have the relevant experience or know someone that does please contact me now on 07458 162842 or email us at admin@lawesgroup.co.uk
