A forward-thinking secondary school in Cheltenham is looking to appoint a Art & Design Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join its thriving creative arts department from September 2025. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for a passionate, skilled artist who is beginning their teaching journey.

Art Department
The Art department boasts well-lit studio spaces, digital art tools, printing presses, ceramics equipment, and kiln facilities. You will teach Art & Design across KS3 and KS4, contributing to a wide variety of artistic themes, techniques, and media.
The department regularly enters regional competitions and hosts student exhibitions both internally and in local galleries.
Your Role
You will plan and deliver visually engaging lessons that explore materials, themes, and processes. Support pupils in developing portfolios, facilitate creative extracurricular clubs, and contribute to department planning and school displays.

A degree in Fine Art or Art & Design with QTS or pending QTS

Skilled in a variety of techniques including drawing, painting, printmaking, and digital art
