Working Pattern: 5 day over 7, including weekends. Shift times are 19:00 - 23:00.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join the healthcare cleaning team at Royal Derby Hospital.
This is a key role within a busy hospital environment, supporting the smooth running of essential cleaning and hygiene services.
You will be responsible for the collection, processing, and redistribution of cleaning materials, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and efficiency are maintained. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and can operate effectively in a fast-paced setting.
The Role
1. Collect used vermops from the domestic team during evening rounds
2. Deliver clean vermops back to relevant departments in a timely manner
3. Operate industrial laundry equipment to wash and dry vermops
4. Prepare and bag cleaned items ready for the next service
5. Maintain accurate records of laundry processing and stock levels
6. Support general cleaning duties as required
7. Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with health & safety and infection control standards
About You
8. Previous experience in a cleaning, laundry, or healthcare environment is desirable
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active role
10. Good attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
11. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
12. Basic record-keeping skills
13. Understanding of health & safety and hygiene practices
