Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Home
Location: Stoke - ST1
Pay: £15.65 per hour
Hours: 160 hours per month

Service: Children's Residential Home (4-bed)
Service Users: Children and young people aged 8–17 with EBD
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential) and QCF Level 5 Leadership/Management (or prepared to study)
The Home
This is a 4-bed children's residential home, supporting young people aged 8–17 with EBD. The home provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment with a strong focus on safeguarding, consistency, and positive outcomes.
Who we are looking for…
We are seeking a confident and supportive Deputy Manager to work closely with the Registered Manager and help lead the home day-to-day.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home
* Leading shifts and modelling high standards of care and safeguarding practice
* Mentoring, coaching, and supervising staff to ensure consistent delivery
* Supporting care planning, risk management, key work, and placement stability
* Maintaining accurate recording and contributing to inspection readiness
* Building a positive culture where young people feel safe, listened to, and supported
Requirements
* Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential)
* Experience within Ofsted-registered children's residential care
* Willingness to work towards QCF Level 5 Leadership/Management (if not already held)
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and confident decision-making
* A calm, consistent leadership style and strong communication skills
