About the Role
Vision for Education is looking to appoint a caring and motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a supportive school in Southend-on-Sea. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on a child’s educational journey by providing tailored, consistent support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver focused 1:1 support based on the pupil’s individual needs
2. Assist the class teacher in adapting learning activities
3. Support the pupil’s emotional wellbeing and behavioural development
4. Promote engagement, confidence, and independence
5. Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement support strategies
6. Track and report on the pupil’s progress
Requirements
7. Previous experience working with children or young people (education experience desirable)
8. A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
10. A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
11. Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or similar) are advantageous but not essential
