Job title: Town Planner

We're working with a highly respected independent planning consultancy looking to appoint a Town Planner to join their growing Newcastle office. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner with consultancy or local authority experience who is looking to work on a broad range of high-profile projects across the North East and wider UK.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and well-established team advising on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, leisure and regeneration schemes. You'll be involved in all aspects of the planning process, from preparing applications and planning appraisals through to managing client relationships and supporting project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
Liaising with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders
Assisting with strategic planning advice and project delivery
Supporting senior team members on major development projects
Attending meetings, committee hearings and public consultations where requiredRequirements:
Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
Previous experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
Strong report writing and communication skills
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service
