About the Role
We are looking for a District Nurse to join the Hastings District Nursing Team in East Sussex. The role involves visiting house‑bound patients in their own homes, supported by a practice team that enables development of a wide range of clinical knowledge and skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care while working autonomously.
Responsibilities
* Deliver nursing care as part of a team and support the District Nurse in an efficient and effective service.
* Work autonomously as a lone worker, assessing patients, planning care, delivering care and evaluating outcomes.
* Travel independently throughout the locality in a timely manner, carrying necessary equipment and staff.
* Support the development of new roles, a seven‑day service, and enhanced career progression opportunities within the district.
Qualifications
* UK NMC registration required.
* Overseas nursing qualification recognised but sponsorship is not available.
* Must hold a current driving licence and have access to a car for travel.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work alone as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
