Salary: Grade 5 Spine Point 19 £32,510.78 - Grade 5 Spine Point 26 £42,483.46 (dependent on experience) FTE

About the Role
HSDC is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of Catering to ensure outstanding success and progression through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment from Level 1 to Level 3, of both practical and theoretical elements of the qualifications. This opportunity will suit someone with a passion for both the subject and for student success. The postholder must be self‑motivated and innovative, with the ability to inspire our students.
Responsibilities
* Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
* To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties of both theory and practical lessons and student assessment.
* To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
* To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
* To attend marketing and promotional events.
Requirements
* Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
* High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area.
* At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full‑time or part‑time students (desirable).
* Degree in relevant subject (desirable).
