Salary: £90-£100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (term-time only)
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to secure a long-term role in a supportive mainstream school?
Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming school in the Royston area that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting a pupil with complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH) on a one-to-one basis.
This is a rewarding full-time position for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about helping young people thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Support emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement in learning
Work with the pupil both in the classroom and within the school's dedicated support provision
Collaborate closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
Build strong, trusting relationships that promote stability and independence
We're Looking for Someone Who:
Has experience supporting children with SEMH needs or behavioural challenges
Is calm, nurturing, and able to build positive relationships
Can confidently implement behaviour strategies and follow personalised support plans
Is resilient, patient, and consistent during challenging moments
Is passionate about making a meaningful difference to a child's progress and wellbeing
