Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, with an emphasis on promoting the development of children through engaging activities and effective communication.
Duties
* Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in children.
* Create a safe and welcoming environment for children, ensuring their well-being at all times.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative programmes that meet the needs of all children in the nursery.
* Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on children's activities and addressing any concerns.
* Manage Early Years challenging behaviour effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behaviour.
* Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as safeguarding policies.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential.
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable.
* Paediatric first aid certificate is desirable.
* A good understanding of safeguarding requirements demonstrating practical knowledge on how to keep children safe in the Early Years.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
