About the Department
The Outpatient Department is a unique place to work, full of opportunities for registered nurses. This band 5 role offers the chance to develop a wide range of knowledge and clinical skills in medical and surgical specialties. You may rotate through various specialties including:
* Dermatology minor procedures
* Trauma and orthopaedics
* ENT
* Breast
* Vascular
* Various medical clinics
We are seeking individuals eager to enhance and develop their skills. Previous experience in an outpatient setting is not essential. You will be supported by a dynamic band 7 Manager and an experienced band 6 Deputy Manager. A bespoke induction programme will be developed to support your growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care aligned with Trust values and professional regulation.
* Work collaboratively to protect and promote the health and wellbeing of patients, their families, and the community.
* Follow Trust policies, protocols, and guidelines.
* Act as a role model, communicating effectively with patients, carers, and staff.
* Accept delegated responsibilities within your competence.
* Continuously develop your practice.
* Facilitate learning for students and healthcare assistants through supervision, teaching, and role modeling.
