Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Systems Accountant / Project Manager for a leading professional services firm in Manchester, which has experienced significant growth over the past decade.
The Systems Accountant will lead system development efforts, ensuring robust and value-adding systems to enhance data accuracy and support commercial decision-making. You will oversee ongoing projects across all systems and serve as a bridge between finance and IT.
The Role
1. Ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively, supporting forecasting and financial reporting.
2. Drive continuous improvement of systems and related reporting.
3. Provide training to maximize system utilization.
4. Develop enhancements to add value continually.
5. Successfully implement a replacement financial system for Dimensions.
6. Ensure processes and procedures are well documented, tested, and updated.
This position is suitable for someone with an accounting background and significant experience in delivering continuous improvement projects across finance and reporting systems, with the ability to lead projects and influence senior leadership.
Ideally, candidates will come from a similar role within a professional services organization, holding an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). However, qualified individuals by experience will also be considered.
