The post holder will be the initial point of contact for patients accessing North East Essex Audiology Services. This includes discussing with patients by phone regarding their Audiology referrals and the options available to them. The successful candidate will need to ensure the Audiology Hub triage, booking and redirection process is managed effectively using the ERS system, Practice Navigator, Evolve, Excel and Patient Appointment System. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Lead for Community Audiology and will be key to the success of the Triage System.
Responsibilities
* Managing and redirecting referrals and booking first appointments.
* Liaising with patients, GPs and providers by telephone, email and online systems.
* Respond to routine enquiries from patients and GP's about referral routes, services provided, waiting times and escalating complex enquiries to the Clinical Lead for Community Audiology.
* Continuously monitor processes, suggest solutions to problems and notify Clinical Lead of any recommended service improvements. Be willing to assist in implementing changes.
