Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division
A new era of mobile repair. This role offers a competitive base salary of £40,178, with on-target earnings up to £52,000. You will have a guaranteed overtime option for base salary increase, additional overtime and bonus opportunities. The job is 40 hours per week with core hours 8:30 am‑5:00 pm, and a 1‑in‑4 Saturday schedule.
About SMR
The RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is a fast‑growing part of the RAC focused on planned, structured repair and servicing delivered directly to members’ driveways or workplace car parks. There are no emergency callouts or roadside recoveries; you work through a scheduled list of jobs with reliable tools and support.
Where you’ll work
You’ll be part of the Leicester cluster covering Leicester, Oadby, Wigston, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, and Loughborough. You’ll work locally on a clearly planned schedule.

Requirements
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
* Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
