Your new companyHays are working with a diverse secondary school & sixth form in Gloucester to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Science Specialist to join their vibrant team on a long-term, full-time basis If you're passionate about inspiring young minds and confident delivering engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry or Physics, we'd love to hear from you
Your new role
* Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 to KS5
* Plan and prepare schemes of work in line with the national curriculum
* Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support progress
* Use data to inform teaching and adapt strategies to meet individual learning needs
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment with strong behaviour management
* Liaise with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing and achievement
What you'll need to succeed
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Proven experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
* Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics
* Confident classroom management and ability to engage mixed-ability groups
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and school life
* Reliable transport (as the school is not easily accessible via public transport)
