What You Need Before Applying
* Strong technical background in mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), cherry pickers, or access equipment
* Desire to step away from tools and take on an office-based management position
* Proven ability to coach and support technicians, using your experience to improve outcomes
* Excellent problem-solving skills, able to guide others through technical queries
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Competency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Organised, resilient under pressure, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
* Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship

About the Role
As Breakdown & Technical Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the breakdown and technical department. Your day-to-day will involve:
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing the daily operations of the Breakdown and Technical Team
* Coaching and mentoring team members to improve technical knowledge and breakdown handling
* Liaising with depots, service engineers, customers, and 3rd party garages
* Leading cost reduction initiatives and ensuring R&M contracts are properly utilised
* Handling complaint escalations and overseeing quality assessments and 1:1s
* Producing and analysing breakdown reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
