About the Role
This newly-created role will be pivotal to supporting, elevating and the success of key Retail initiatives at Harrods, including one of our biggest strategic investments to date - the expansion of our world-class Private Shopping service.
Principle accountabilities include:
* Provide expert knowledge in adult learning theory and practices.
* Accurate diagnosis of learning needs, working with stakeholders and SMEs (internal/external).
* Create robust learning proposals and project plans, to execute on above.
* Apply knowledge of luxury lifestyle/brands/service or clientele personas, to L&D design.
* Design and development of interventions including face-to-face workshops and/or briefings, train-the-trainer, self-led digital learning, guides, behavioural nudges, 121 or team coaching.
* Implementation of learning solutions, including facilitation and evaluation of learning.
* Manage project budget.
This is an extremely exciting time to join Harrods - a whole new wonder of opportunity awaits. As the Learning Manager, you will work on a hybrid basis. Due to the personalised nature of the service, you will be on site (Knightsbridge & Hammersmith) 3-4 days per week.
About You
Bringing your experience in learning & development management, you will have existing working knowledge of the luxury market from a customer-facing business - this could be luxury hospitality, retail or travel services. You will be established at building effective relationships with senior management and love to build connections within the wider business.
You will also have:
* Strong stakeholder management, and are confident in communicating in front of senior audiences.
* Expert understanding of adult learning design principles and best practices, whilst you enjoy working in an agile way, at pace and within a programme team.
* Expertise and confidence in how to scope, design and deliver a complex L&D project, end-to-end, with minimum supervision and guidance, at the same time being confident with data management and presentation.
* - Experience of facilitating learning and training, and are a reliable self-starter, who enjoys 'owning' their projects.
* Experience within luxury sectors or environments is a bonus, though not essential we are looking for you to be energized by the prospect of creating exceptional customer service.
