An exciting 12 month secondment opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 5 Assistant Health Records Manager to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective service for the Health Records service managed within Digital Services at Weston General Hospital.
Applicants will need to be proactive and have exceptional organisation skills. The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate with both their team and all levels of staff internally and externally in a professional manner.
Applicants must have a keen eye for detail and possess a level of scanning expertise, as the job will involve the management of an extremely busy health records department.
1. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the administrative staff within Health Records to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency in administrative working practices and the provision of a high quality service.
2. Other key responsibilities include supporting the Trust Wide Operational Health Records Manager with all relevant operational, Human Resource, and other Trust/local policies/procedures to ensure the day-to-day management of departmental performance. The post holder will provide cover for the Trust Wide Operational Health Records Manager.
3. Through the management of one of the Health Records Departments, the post-holder will be required to: Operate under their own initiative and take responsibility for daily decision making
4. Have an innovative approach to problem solving and developing services
5. Ensure effective and efficient delivery of the service to meet service demands
The post-holder will also attend meetings as required, and work flexibly to meet departmental and service needs.
