Job Description:
Leads the design, delivery, and management of People Risk and Governance frameworks and initiatives. Supports the Head of People Risk and Governance in overseeing the team's workstreams and developing impactful solutions. Demonstrates senior-level expertise in risk and governance, employee data protection, internal fraud, employee mobility, and risk management. Manages and mentors team members.
Key Activities:
* Learning and Development: Design, implement, and monitor initiatives to enhance team competencies, foster career progression, and support succession planning.
* Team Planning: Design and coordinate team activities using tools like MS Planner and agile meetings. Ensure timely task delivery, resource allocation, and reporting.
* Risk Management Framework: Develop, implement, and monitor a framework to identify and mitigate people-related risks, aligning with standards.
* Risk Assessments: Provide expertise in risk assessments and translate results into actionable insights for HR and senior management.
* Risk Events: Oversee and report on risk events, ensuring effective remediation.
* Consultancy: Lead partnerships with People teams and risk functions, providing governance input and raising risk awareness.
* Project Support: Assist in major projects, assessing impact on people risk and supporting change delivery.
* Reporting: Support team reporting, including briefing packs and risk reports for stakeholders.
* Internal Controls: Design, coordinate, and report on control environment, risk registers, and adherence to frameworks.
* Policies: Ensure People policies align with frameworks, overseeing activities like COI, fraud, and whistleblowing.
* Change Management: Support people-related change initiatives to improve risk profile.
* External Scanning: Monitor emerging risks and industry developments, communicating insights and actions.
* Continuous Improvement: Develop strategies to enhance understanding and engagement with risk activities, fostering a proactive culture.
* Coaching and Line Management: Mentor and manage team performance.
Key Skills:
* Senior-level expertise in risk and governance, with experience in risk management frameworks and a risk-based mindset.
* Deep knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects of people risk management.
* Ability to provide constructive challenges and key insights to stakeholders.
* Excellent change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong data skills for risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
* Experience in workforce planning and resource management.
* Proven senior-level risk, compliance, or governance experience, preferably in both Line and Line capacities.
