Overview
Associate Director (Freelance), Technology PR – Global Communications Agency at FleishmanHillard. The role is offered initially as a 3-month freelance agreement with potential conversion to a permanent role in the near future.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the day-to-day lead on a diverse portfolio of high-profile technology clients, managing integrated PR programmes and campaign activity.
* Build and deepen client relationships, providing trusted strategic counsel and forward-thinking communications plans grounded in audience insight and data.
* Lead UK activations spanning media relations, executive profiling, social media, content, and events, while coordinating seamless delivery in international markets.
* Drive new business and organic growth, supporting pitches, networking, and cross-practice opportunities.
* Oversee client budgets and project delivery, ensuring the highest standards of service and measurable impact.
* Inspire, mentor and motivate junior colleagues, fostering an inclusive, supportive and high-performing team culture.
* Actively contribute to thought leadership, represent FH at industry events, and help shape the future of our technology practice.
About You
* A strategic communicator with strong experience in technology PR, ideally within an agency environment.
* Skilled at building client trust and delivering standout campaigns that make a real impact.
* Confident leading integrated teams and multi-channel programmes—from concept to delivery.
* Adept at navigating complex, fast-moving sectors, with a passion for translating technical topics for broad audiences.
* A collaborative leader who champions inclusion, feedback and professional development.
* You must have the right to work in the UK and be able to work in our Bankside office at least 3 days p/week.
* Preference given to candidates available immediately – late October/early November start ideal.
