You will kick start your career in insurance by joining our 2-year rotational programme, completing four 6-month rotations across the following areas:

* M&A Tax: helps buyers, sellers and investors complete deals by identifying tax risks and using bespoke insurance to remove those risks from transactions.
* Contingent Risk: protects clients against major future legal, regulatory or tax risks by designing insurance that pays out if those risks occur later.
* Client Development: help grow the business by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships and bringing new risks and deals into the pipeline.
* Strategic Opportunities: places insurance for nuanced and untested tax risks, including risks that are highly contentious or in live dispute. The team also has a mandate and the regulatory permissions to develop and execute insurance backed financing solutions, which are bespoke to each client.

What you’ll be doing?

M&A Tax

* Supporting live deals by identifying tax and legal risks and helping draft insurance submissions and client reports.
* Working with clients and insurers to structure bespoke tax insurance so deals can complete without money being held back.
* Researching and analysing future legal, regulatory or tax risks, and helping design insurance to cover those risks.
* Preparing insurance reports, speaking with insurers, and supporting the negotiation and binding of policies on live transactions.
* Assist in developing financial models to project cash flows and assess financial outcomes of a litigation portfolio.

Client Development

* Researching clients and markets, following up on leads and supporting senior team members with pitches and presentations.
* Helping develop new products and opportunities by working closely with broking teams and insurers.

Strategic Solutions

* Supporting the team to research complex or emerging tax risks and carrying out market analysis to identify new opportunities.
* Assisting on live deals, including gathering information and helping prepare documentation for insurers and clients.
* Learning how to analyse transactions and financing structures, and how insurance can be used to support and improve these.

The Role:

As an Associate Data Operations Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, accurate,
and timely flow of delegated authority data into Carbon’s ecosystem. Working closely with the Data
Operations Team Lead, you’ll help maintain exceptional service standards, drive data quality, and
support key stakeholders across the business.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment, enjoys problem

Key Responsibilities

Operational
• Process incoming bordereaux ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agreed
service levels.
• Oversee the end-to-end bordereaux collection process, proactively identifying delays or risks
and driving timely resolutions.
Stakeholder & Third-Party Engagement
• Communicate effectively with internal teams including Underwriting, Claims, and Finance to
escalate issues, provide updates, and support decision-making.
• Liaise directly with brokers, coverholders, and third-party administrators (TPAs) to resolve data
issues and ensure smooth data submissions.

Data Quality & Problem Solving
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, performing reconciliations to ensure confidence in
downstream reporting and analytics.
Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the evolution of Carbon’s delegated data processes, tools, and controls.
• Support initiatives that enhance automation, governance, and overall operational efficiency.

Preferred Level of Experience
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative and operational support to the claims team while
developing a strong foundational understanding of claims handling, delegated authority structures,
and claims performance analysis.


Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the management and maintenance of claims bordereaux, ensuring accurate and
complete data capture.
• Assisting with the coordination of TPA audits, including scheduling, tracking actions, and
monitoring outcomes.
• Supporting the onboarding of new TPAs, including preparation of documentation and
maintenance of trackers.
• Assisting with the setup and monitoring of loss funds.

• Preparing TPA meeting minutes and tracking follow-up actions.
• Supporting the management of claims records, including static claims and diary management.
• Conducting diary and file reviews to ensure claims progression.
• Assisting with internal audits and regulatory reporting (including Solvency II).
• Monitoring and chasing performance MI submissions.
• Supporting the production of claims data and performance analysis.
• Managing shared mailboxes and responding to queries.
• Assisting with administration of external experts and service providers.
• Supporting ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.

Work as part of the North American team servicing business as required by the Division, the role offers elements of on the job and off the job learning leading to an insurance industry recognised qualification. Throughout the programme the jobholder will be required to evidence their knowledge, skills, competence and ability in the job role. The main purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Technical Team and Broking Divisions ensuring the client needs are met.

Responsibilities

Day to day client servicing from initial submission of risks to hand over to technical team for invoicing. Including:

* Create and maintain electronic files
* Draft Open Market Reform Contracts including endorsements and any adjustments, ensuring conditions and terms of cover in response to client’s needs.
* Produce client documentation as required by departmental procedures, complying with internal service standards and FCA, ensuring Contract Certainty.
* Diary subjectivities/premium payment warranties and conditions and liaise with client and Broker to ensure they are complied with
* Prepare statistical analysis including loss runs where necessary
* Accurately complete check lists ready for processing in Cheltenham
* File all documents in a timely manner so they are accurate and up-to-date.
* Liaising with Cheltenham to ensure prompt and accurate issuance of invoices
* Build strong working relationships with Amwins/Amwins Global Risks International offices and independent producers, underwriters, and Cheltenham, attending internal and external meetings as required.
* Check Client/Insurer/and Third Party accounts are approved and set up in the broking system, preparing approval forms where necessary
* Ensure compliance with external and internal guidelines and procedures at all times.
* Review internal reports and liaise with Cheltenham teams to ensure all client cashes and aged debts are cleared
* Undertake any other responsibilities which may become necessary for the proper performance of the role

Role Purpose

To support the Financial Lines Underwriting divisions through defined administrative responsibilities

Responsibilities:

* Enter risk and policy data in to the Underwriting system(s) within the defined Service Level Agreements.
* Undertake peer-to-peer quality assurance checks within the defined Service Level Agreements.

* Process unmatched USMs within the defined Service Level Agreements and escalate any issues through the appropriate channels.
* Ensure all tasks are completed for month-end close.
* Assist with credit control and provide support to the credit control team with aged debt and excess cash queries when required.
* Attend team, departmental and divisional meetings to build, and maintain, internal relationships and continue understanding of the business.
* Scan and store all documentation in to the document management storage folders as required.
* Ensure that Underwriting files are complete and accurate. Obtain any outstanding items from the underwriting team.
* Assist with, and drive forward, company projects as required.
* Assist with the training of new team members and act as a Subject Matter Expert as requested by the management team.
* Undertake other appropriate ad-hoc tasks as requested by the management team.
* Maintaining business logs and renewal pipeline spreadsheets.
* Assist with peer review
* Ensure PBQA/CC is complete
* Assist with collating information for binder/lineslip renewals
* Responsibilities are all internal focused, UWAs will be required to deal with brokers and external third parties. Thinking aged debt, chasing brokers for missing file documents, etc.
* Assist with internal and external audits
* Ad hoc reporting as required
* Report any suspicion of financial crime to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer immediately.
* Operate within the Company’s standards for Treating Customers Fairly.
* Manage any potential conflicts of interest to avoid disrepute to the company’s integrity.
* Advise Compliance of any complaints immediately.

Experience:

This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate with 6 months’ – 1 years office experience or a recent graduate or a well qualified school leaver. The ideal candidate will be highly numerate, have a strong work ethic, high attention to detail, excellent IT and analytical skills and possess the drive to advance their career within the Insurance sector.
