Job overview
This post is envisioned as an opportunity to advance knowledge and experience in a specific area of nephrology (interventional nephrology). The post would be suitable for post-CCT fellows or doctors with renal experience earlier in their careers.
The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of 220 staff including 23 Consultant Renal Physicians based in the Department of Renal Medicine at Salford Royal Hospital who together provide services to residents of West sector of Greater Manchester. The post holder will be employed by Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA), will be based at Salford but may be expected to travel to haemodialysis satellite clinics within the West Sector of the Greater Manchester conurbation.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates, depending on interests and previous experience, will work within multidisciplinary clinics. There will be an opportunity to be involved in research within the areas of multidisciplinary clinics and in other areas in which the department has active research.

Person specification
* Ability to place undertake Temporary, Tunnelled dialysis line insertions & undertake biopsies
* IT experience
* Experience in Renal Medicine
* Ability to undertake Peritoneal dialysis catheters
Qualifications
* Full Registration with General Medical Council
* Experience in Renal Medicine
* Complete Renal training in possession of Certificate of completion
* Higher Degree
Professional Registration
* Registration on the GMC Specialist Register-CCT or within 6 months of obtaining CCT
* Acute involvement in Audit
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues
* Ability to work flexibly
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
