Competitive What You'll Be Doing:
As a Principal Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering standards and practices. Your responsibilities will include: Setting site engineering standards and requirements for electrical and control equipment/systems/facilities. Providing expert advice on the design of electrical & control systems in relation to site facilities. Reviewing electrical & control drawings, schematics, and design packages. Acting as a subject matter expert, offering technical guidance for sitewide control systems to operations, maintenance, and projects. Ensuring that equipment and facilities are designed, constructed, commissioned, operated, and maintained according to the highest standards. Producing engineering documentation, including technical reports and operating instructions, ensuring they are properly classified and maintained. Your Skills and Experience:
Essential: Experience in an EC&I engineering role, with a focus on Control & Instrumentation. Proficiency in machine/crane control systems. Familiarity with BMS systems and alarm/communication systems. Desirable: Experience in functional safety design. Understanding of Radio Frequency and EMC within an industrial environment. Experience with FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis). A degree in electrical engineering or relevant experience. Registration with an engineering professional institute and the ability to achieve chartered status. Proven engineering experience within a technical role with transferable skills. Experience in a Nuclear Environment or similar highly regulated business is a plus. Benefits:

Join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary engineering team that sets the standards across Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil/Structural disciplines. In this role, you will provide essential technical support in electrical engineering, covering HV/LV power distribution, control and instrumentation, alarms, and functional safety systems. Your expertise will ensure compliance with legislation and processes across a variety of projects and facilities.
