Overview
Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, 37.5 hours per week. We are looking for a Cardiac Physiologist with experience of working in invasive procedures to join our team and support cardiology services based at the Cumberland Infirmary. The Cardiology Department covers a wide range of invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures. The service has two acute sites with a newly opened Cardiac Catheter Suite at the Cumberland Infirmary. You will work on rotation through these sites. Participation in the on-call rota is essential.

Responsibilities
* Demonstrate expertise in the performance of the range of investigations carried out by the cardiology department.
* Perform Cardiology Procedures including:
* Non-Invasive: ECG, ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring and Physiologist-led Exercise testing.
* Invasive: Haemodynamic monitoring during invasive procedures including diagnostic Angiography, elective and emergency Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (including FFR, IVUS, OCT and IABP).
* Permanent Pacemaker implantation and pacemaker follow-up. ICD follow-up and deactivation.
* Support will be available for areas where training is required.
* Potential opportunities for training in echocardiography.
* Participate in the on-call rota for Primary PCI.
* Support Trainees and more junior staff training within the department.

* Experience of working in invasive cardiology procedures.
* Ability to work on rotation through two acute sites and on the on-call rota.
* Willingness to engage in training opportunities, including echocardiography where available.
