Age UK North Worcestershire run several Charity Shops which generate valuable income to help us to continue to provide support and services for the over 50s living in North Worcestershire. In addition to raising much-needed funds, our Charity Shops are also important 'hubs' of the communities in which they are based. It's fair to say that our shops couldn't open without the astonishing commitment from our volunteers
What do shop volunteers do?
There are many ways you can support your local Age UK North Worcestershire shop, whether it's behind the scenes or on the shop floor. The volunteer roles include:
* Serving customers
* General housekeeping
* Sorting stock
* Creating window displays.
* Stock rotation

What is expected of me?
Once you have completed our volunteer recruitment process the amount of time you give can vary from as little as an hour a week to as much as you can spare. This is due to the many ways you can help in an Age UK North Worcestershire shop.
What you can expect from us
A warm welcome to our team We make sure that all of our volunteers receive appropriate training and that they have the ongoing support of a member of staff, we will also cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses for volunteers as well as offering volunteers a discount at our stores
