The Opportunity
We're currently seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to join a high-profile security transformation programme based at Heathrow Airport. This is a fantastic contract opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, forward-thinking delivery team driving cutting-edge IT infrastructure projects within a critical national environment.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading the implementation of complex IT and telecoms systems, ensuring seamless delivery from design to installation across a diverse range of technologies - including networks, common use terminals, displays, CCTV, and access control systems
Key Responsibilities
·Lead project delivery across multiple stakeholders, ensuring completion on time, to budget, and to quality standards.
·Engage directly with Heathrow clients to shape scope and timelines.
·Manage supplier relationships and ensure strict adherence to project processes.
·Coordinate resources and support bidding activity for future project demands.
·Ensure smooth handover and documentation for ongoing system support.
·Collaborate with internal departments and third parties across the airport to drive alignment and successful outcomes.
·Attend project meetings, provide progress updates, and act as the central point of contact for technical delivery.
What We're Looking For
·Proven leadership on complex IT infrastructure or telecoms implementation projects.
·Strong technical understanding of LAN networks, wireless systems, and enterprise-level telecoms.
·Hands-on experience with IT deployments in live operational environments - ideally in airports or similarly complex settings.
·Familiarity with CCTV, access control systems, and integrated communication systems.
·Confident communicator with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
·Skilled in Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.
·Educated to HNC / A-level or equivalent.
·Project management or technical certifications are advantageous.
