Job Description
The Junior Producer supports the Producers with the producing and bidding of all projects, as well as producing select jobs.
This person is responsible for assisting the Producers in the coordination and control of productions, planning and scheduling of facility resources and scheduling and liaising with the client when necessary. The key role is to support the Production department in the timely and successful delivery of multiple print, digital & TVC projects simultaneously.
Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in art or film studies
* At least 2 years of experience in the advertising or film industry. A combination of education and work experience can be substituted.
* Familiarity with creative tools: Photoshop, After Effects, Flame, Resolve and Softimage
* Experience in using social media as commercial tools (Facebook apps, YouTube channels, MySpace, Twitter, etc.)
* Knowledge of/interest in live-action protocols and bidding practices
* PC/Mac literate, word and excel proficiency
* Strong scheduling and organizational skills
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and intense pressure
* Ability to schedule, prioritize and multitask
* Excellent attention to detail
* Great communication skills [written and verbal]
Responsibilities
(* denotes an “essential function”)
* *Help the Producers manage multiple productions through the full life cycle, making sure that services are delivered on time. Assist Producers in producing projects from pre-production to post-production and delivery
* *Creation and maintenance of clear job documentation, including reporting on job performance on completion. Review and put into action the evaluation of a job, helping to implement improvements
* *Plan necessary research, contact suppliers and freelancers, be involved in key client calls to take minutes and action points and ensure the successful follow up to keep production moving efficiently.
* *Ensure projects have the resources to be completed on time and with the correct skill set allocated to them. Raise conflicts with production team and find solutions where necessary.
* *Assist the Executive Producer in arranging company update meetings, weekly Whiteboard production meeting, monthly project updates
* *Produce smaller scale projects under the guidance of a Senior Producer or Executive Producer. Ensure that projects are profitable with keeping running actuals, delivering on-time. Assist in the beginning stages of new jobs. i.e. Create new job folders, assign a number, and draft a Job in email for the Executive Producer.
* *Maintain job actuals and pre-actuals with the Producer in charge of the specific job.
* *Work with the Production team to update and manage the overall production schedule, ensuring that the requirements of the whole production team are considered.
* *Responsible for effective handover to marketing & keeping the marketing projects list up to date, including the requests for final artwork and campaign launch dates
* Aid the Producers in finding, researching, and hiring freelance talent. Keep the list of freelance pool up to date, including their upcoming booking and hold details
* Aid in holding and booking freelancers, negotiating rates, bookings, and seat placement in the office.
* Ensure all knowledge gained from weekly/monthly meetings for production, sales and marketing is shared back to London team and other relevant members of staff to ensure we are using both offices pools of knowledge & processes.
* Regularly review the Producer Manual updating all processes and procedures, with step by step guide, screen grabs and appendix of examples.
* Organize and maintain the Production calendar with upcoming meetings.
* Organize catering and provide hospitality during agency and client visits.
* Assist other departments in ad hoc tasks as needed.
