The Role
Health Care Assistants are urgently required in Sandy, Central Bedfordshire. We offer flexible shifts, including long day or night shifts lasting 12 hours, with temporary or part‑time options.
Duties
* Aiding residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, maintaining hygiene, dressing, and eating.
* Engaging residents in recreational and social activities, both individually and in groups, to provide physical and mental stimulation.
* Taking charge of residents’ physical and emotional well‑being and addressing their social needs.
* Contributing to the creation of resident care plans and staying informed about any specialised support requirements.
* Supporting residents with mobility and assisting as needed.
Qualifications
* An empathetic, considerate, and sympathetic nature.
* Enthusiastic and eager to acquire new skills.
* A good listener with forbearance.
* Adaptability to rotational work.
* Recent pertinent experience in the healthcare sector as a caregiver, senior caregiver, or healthcare assistant.
* Proficient in written and verbal communication.
* Must possess evidence of the right to work in the UK.
* All obligatory training certificates up to date (training will be provided if not available).
* Must have an Enhanced DBS (DBS application can be made on your behalf if not available).
* Social Care Wales Registration Number.
* Moving & Handling Practical Certificate.
